We only have three days of school this week due to State Teacher Meetings. We will not have a spelling contract due this week and the math homework will be due on Wednesday instead of Thursday.
I found out last week that we will be able to participate in a partnership with a fourth grade class from Inver Grove Heights. The partnership will include two field trips to Dodge Nature Center, writing pen pal letters, a tour of Eco Lab, a performance at Stepping Stone Theater, and a visit to Langford for skating. These events are all paid for with desegregation funds by the EMID Office. We participated in this program last year and it was a wonderful time!
I have attached a checklist for the animal fiction project and book talk. I will discuss this more thoroughly with the class this week so they should know what is expected. Having said that they are always nervous this first time and can get confused. This is our first time with book talks and we will all improve and relax as the year goes along.
